Holiday Story Times @ Your Library

The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library will hold two holiday story times on Monday, December 5 and Wednesday, December 7 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Children of all ages are welcome to come and visit with Santa. No registration is required. 
   The Arlington Branch Library will host a Christmas Story time on Thursday, December 1 at 11:15 a.m.  A special story time will be held on Tuesday, December 15 at 11:15 a.m. featuring Elf on the Shelf.   No registration is required.

2017 CommunityREAD Book - 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library’s 2017 CommunityRead will be Stephen R. Covey’s “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.”

The YouthReads will be “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens” and “The 7 Habits of Happy Kids” by Sean Covey. Sean Covey will visit Hancock County on March 16, 2017, during CommunityRead month for a presentation at 7 p.m. at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts.

Personalized Librarian Service Now Available

The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library is happy to introduce to our community a new personalized librarian service for books, music, and movies. It’s as easy as filling out a form on our website. From there Librarians will use your responses to create a customized list just for you. You will receive an email response within a week with links you can use to access the  materials in the catalog.

You can access the forms on the library’s website - Read/View/Listen click on Personalized Librarian- Books, for recommendations on books, or Personalized Librarian- Media, for recommendations on movies or music. If you have questions about the service, feel free to ask at the  Reference Desk at the Library.
