Our Children's Services staff provides quality, fun programs and exceptional resources for kids, teens and families. Besides all of the wonderful programs and books on the shelves, we offer Launchpads for digital learning, Ellison Dies for projects, Early Learning Kits, Grab and Go Kits, audiobooks, a Braille collection, computers full of fun learning games, the Early Learning Center for socialization with other children, and board books for the youngest of readers.

Playaway Launchpad is the first-ever secure, pre-loaded learning tablet created just for children. Each Launchpad is pre-loaded with high-quality, ad-free learning apps grouped by age, grade level, subject area and theme.

In addition to letters of the alphabet and numbers, we have many different shapes of Ellison Dies for your creative projects such as holiday shapes, sports shapes, and many more. Please visit the Children's Department to view what's available!

Our Early Literacy Kits are a great way for you to take stories and learning home from the library. They are filled with books and interactive toys that children can use to build those crucial early literacy skills. Each bag has a theme and also comes with a sheet full of useful tips on how to use the items in the bag. We currently have kits on the following topics: Counting, ABC's, Colors, Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See, and Opposites.

We also have Grab and Go Bags filled with books and activities suggestions when you don't have time to browse.

Going on a road trip?  Pick up an audiobook/book combo.  These kits have a CD of the book being read, and the book so your little one can follow along with the story.

Take a look at our Calendar for a listing of all of our  programs.  If you need help, visit the Children's Service Department or call 419-434-1077 or view our Kids Catalog
