The Friends of the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library will hold a meeting on June 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the Lindamood Room. Mrs. Sarah Clevidence, Assistant Director, will be the key-note speaker at the Friends meeting. Mrs. Clevidence will discuss library services for adults, including materials, programming, and CommunityREAD.
At a time when the opiate crisis and drug addictions are headlining daily, people often ask what society is doing to prevent the issues from the first place. Substance use prevention and mental health wellness are critical to the health and safety of any community. We invite you to learn more about good prevention and how it can reduce the number of drug related problems in a community.
Four part crochet series class with the first session on Thursday, May 4 at 6:00 p.m. Sessions will continue on May 11, May 18 and May 25. Participants will learn how to read patterns and make the beginning chain, single stitch, double stitch, and triple stitch. During the first class participants will be instructed about the size of the needle and yarn needed for their project. Class size is limited, and registration is required. Registration for the first class automatically registers participants for all four classes. Participants are encouraged to attend all of the classes.
Marlene Burns, Burns Financial, will present "Finances for Life." the following topics will be discussed: spending and budgeting, investments, education, retirement, life insurance and disability, estate planning.
