Come watch and discuss two TED Talks on leadership. In "How Great Leaders Inspire Action," Columbia University professor Simon Sinek presents his "Golden Circle" model for inspirational leadership, and uses some of America's greatest leaders as examples. The second presentation, "The Surprising Habits of Original Thinkers," comes from author/professor Adam Grant. He examines how creative people generate great ideas and describes three unexpected habits, like welcoming failure. Short discussions will follow each video.
Come out to hear Krista Miller, Jacobs Elementary School Principal, present about the Habits found in The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Jacobs Elementary is one of the schools in the county that has implemented the Leader in Me program that uses the 7 Habits in education to shape students for their futures. Krista will go over each of the Habits and how they can be used in your daily life.
