Four part series on learning the basics of Spanish to help you survive most situations. University of Findlay Professor Julia Perez-Gamboa will present these four sessions giving participants a basis to learn another language for free. Professor Perez-Gamboa teaches all levels of Spanish courses and has taught in countries such as Peru, England, France, and the United States. She has also been a British Council and French Embassy Scholar.

The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library will host a program on how to protect your intellectual property, called "Patent Law for Entreprenuers and Business." The special evenet will take place Wednesday, May 20 at 6:00 p.m. Jacob Ward, Registered Patent Attorney will present the course. He will discuss the types of intellectual property, including copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets and patents. The discussion will include how to recognize your intellectual property, and the steps you can take to protect and profit from it. The program is free and open to the public.
