Cookbook Club: Raw

The theme for May is "Raw." Don't run away just yet. "Raw" may sound intimidating or just plan unappetizing but if you are looking for a natural way to increase energy, "raw" maybe for you! Raw foods can only be heated to a maximum of 116 degrees to preserve the phytonutrients such as antioxidants. Learn how to take "raw" beyond your lunchtime salad and share your favorite recipe with the group!

The theme for April is "Vegetarian." There are many tasty and filling alternatives to meat. Come learn how to get enough protein and nutrients with a vegetarian diet. Incorporate more produce into your cooking and create exciting and healthy vegetarian meals. Find your favorite vegetarian recipe and come share it with the group.

Reading with Your Kids. February 24. 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Come learn about some great ways to help your child enjoy reading and being read to. Licensed reading teachers will share strategies parents can use to help children improve reading skills. Parents will receive a book for your child, just for attending. There will also be door prizes and pizza and snacks to help you digest all of the valuable tips you will learn to help your child on his/her path to becoming a better reader.
