Join us for Baby Storytime at the library in the Early Learning Center in the Children's Department. We will sing, rhyme, read, and have fun with scarves and bells! Children up to 36 months of age and older siblings are welcome.

Do you love comics, manga, and graphic novels? Want to hang out with other kids who love them too? Join our Comics Club to explore great books and learn about how theyre made.

Before each session, participants are asked to read a themed book and bring it with them to the meeting.

Do you love mermaids? Join us for fun stories and a mermaid craft, then learn to dance ballet like a mermaid with students from the Findlay Academy of Ballet. Ages 4-8 with an adult caregiver. Please register all children. (adult caregivers do not need to register)

Celebrate Tanabata, the Japanese Star Festival, by writing wishes on tanzaku (colorful strips of paper) and hanging them on our bamboo tree. There will also be origami, kimonos, coloring, portraits, and a story about the festival read aloud. Families can drop in any time between 4:30 and 7:00 PM.
Our tree was donated by the Japan America Society of Central Ohio (JASCO) and The Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership.

Presented by The Toledo Zoo and Aquarium, join us for a special animal-themed story and visit with an animal friend via Zoom! Register once per family below and library staff will send you a link to join us on Zoom. Please be sure to register by noon the day of the event to be sure you get a link. Register to join us on Zoom to watch The Greater Cleveland Aquarium provide a unique opportunity to see some of the magnificent animals usually hidden away under the waves up-close. Interact with an Aquatic Educator and ask your burning questions about sharks, stingrays, and other sea creatures. Register by 12:00 PM the day of the event to receive a zoom invite.
