The easiest way into a reader's mind is through your story-telling ability. POV (Point of View) is the vehicle to the tale. Make it strong, use Deep POV to reveal your character's full tapestry of sensations. Add punch to your writing and let the reader feel it. This is not about your typical first person point of view. Get inside your character's mind and you will be inside your reader's mind.
We all have stories, even those of us who do not necessarily think of themselves as storytellers or think of their own lives as particularly notable. No life is free from conflict, and conflict--sometimes small, sometimes larger--is the essence of a narrative. During this workshop, William Bradley--author of Fractals--will discuss how we turn our own unique situations into stories, sharing exercises and tips for crafting autobiographical fiction and narrative nonfiction.
