"Tech Time" with Nathan Rice, information technology manager, at the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on July 10 in the Lindamood Room. Participants can drop in anytime during the session for assistance with their individual technology needs. Assistance with e-readers, tablets, smart phones and digital photos will be available. No registration required.
Come and learn about the basics of investing. The goal of the seminar is to provide an overview of basic investment strategies by discussing differences in stocks, bonds and mutual funds. The seminar will also cover the effects of inflation and the time value of money.
This class will help students become familiar with their computer and is foundation for other computer classes such as Word 101 and Word 102.
A volunteer recruitment meeting for Read for L.I.F.E. tutor training will be held on Friday, September 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Lindamood Room at Findlay-Hancock County Public Library. Potential adult volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and are asked to commit to one year or more of volunteering. Volunteers must be literate with no professional training as training is provided.
The presentation will provide step-by-step on how to use the Workforce Skills for 21st Century Success database to create a professional looking resume. Please come to the class with as much detailed education, job history, etc. information as possible to ensure a more complete resume.
